What if the real challenge in a person’s career is not a lack of opportunity, but a lack of self-understanding?
This question has been at the heart of M V Babu T.’s journey — a journey that began with engineering and sales, moved through industry and academia, and eventually evolved into a mission of helping people discover their potential and transform their lives.
The Journey Begins with Engineering
After completing his B.Tech from Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology, Babu began his professional career in Sales Engineering.
His curiosity to learn and grow took him to the United Kingdom, where he pursued a Master’s in Aeronautical Engineering from Glyndŵr University, Wales.
Returning to India, he joined Maco Corporation Pvt. Ltd., building extensive experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Development and Customer Experience in the heavy machinery and industrial sector.
His professional journey gave him the opportunity to interact with organisations and institutions including BHEL, ONGC, DRDO, RCI, NDY, SBC, HSL, L&T, Tata and many others.
This phase taught him an important lesson: business is ultimately about people — understanding their needs, communicating effectively and creating value.
From Industry to Education
His passion for learning and developing people gradually took him into engineering education.
At MLR Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, Babu worked as a faculty member and later served as Head of Department.
Working closely with students and educators exposed him to challenges that went beyond academics.
He observed that many students had technical qualifications, yet struggled with career clarity, confidence, communication, decision-making and understanding their own strengths.
He began to realise that:
Education should not only prepare people for a job. It should prepare them to understand themselves and create a meaningful life.
A National Perspective Through IUCEE
A defining chapter came through his association with IUCEE — Indo-US Collaboration for Engineering Education.
Through the IIEECP — IUCEE International Engineering Educator Certification Program, and with the support and guidance of Dr. Krishna Vedula, Babu received an opportunity to connect with 250+ engineering institutes across India and interact with thousands of engineering educators and lecturers.
This was more than professional exposure. It gave him a nationwide perspective on engineering education, faculty development and human potential.
During this association, he also had opportunities to contribute to government initiatives such as APSSDC — Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation, supporting faculty development programs.
These experiences strengthened a conviction that was already taking shape:
Developing people requires more than technical knowledge.
The Birth of Eminence
In December 2019, Babu took a bold step and founded Eminence Management & Training Consultancy.
The initial vision was to facilitate career growth and professional development for engineering faculty.
However, the journey soon became much bigger.
As Babu worked with people from different backgrounds, he continued investing in his own learning and developed expertise in Counselling, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Life Coaching, Psychometric Assessment, Health Mentoring and Experiential Learning.
The work naturally expanded from engineering faculty development into career guidance, corporate training, leadership development, life skills and personal transformation.

Today, Babu works with students, professionals, educators, HR leaders, entrepreneurs, corporate teams, homemakers and individuals at different stages of life.
His methodology is highly experiential. He believes that people don't transform simply by listening to information.
They transform when they experience, reflect, understand and take action.
Through coaching, counselling, training, activities, games, reflection and experiential exercises, he creates learning experiences that are practical, engaging and memorable.
His work brings together career guidance, life skills, NLP, coaching, leadership, communication, personal development and conscious living.
